Exposure to Cold Raises Energy

Dutch extreme athlete and motivational speaker, Wim Hoff, claims that there is an effective way to get the body in top shape. The techniques he proposes are nothing new. He only united them into one whole. The components of this formula are:

– conscious breathing

– exposure to ice water

– strength and stretching exercises

What does this method look like?

Proper breathing

For most people, proper breathing is a type of problem. They mostly breathe fast and shallowly, and therefore irregularly. We are not at all aware of the fact that we inhale and exhale air. We do it completely mechanically.

However, let’s look at the proposal of this athlete: Start breathing consciously in the morning. Relax your body, focus on breathing. Take a deep breath and exhale 30 to 40 times. Exposing body to low temperature

The next step is to expose the body to low temperatures. We immediately note that you do this gradually. For example – take a shower for 3 minutes with warm water, and then for one minute with cold water. After 3 weeks, extend the shower time with cold water. When you are able to expose yourself to cold water (instead of warm) for a long time, you are ready for the next level.

Fill the tub with 3 bags of ice and let it melt halfway. Do not add hot water. Lie in the tub for about 10 minutes. If you feel you can’t stand it that long, of course, get out of the tub. In other words, listen to your body and gradually adjust. After this exposure to cold, warm yourself well and drink tea.

Stretching

After this, it is time for stretching and strength exercises. Decide for yourself what to practice. It can be push-ups, squats, yoga… It is very important to be concentrated during exercise
