All About Medical Fasting

Medical healing fasting is needed by almost every modern man, who lives in a world full of preservatives, pesticides and additives.

In which cases does it help?

Medical fasting is very powerful in a medical sense and the idea itself is not new. Many diseases were previously treated with fasting, which originated many centuries ago, as an integral part of all religions. There is no religion that does not recommend fasting, and purification of the soul through purification of the body. Voluntary abstinence from food causes major changes in the human body, and also helps in cases of heart disease, spine, asthma, psoriasis, gout, arthritis, rheumatism, stomach ulcers, fatty liver, benign tumors and early stages of diabetes.

What happens in the body?

The basic rule of medical fasting is to be without food, that is, to live only on fluids. Due to the lack of food in the body, internal reserves are activated. The only food for the brain is sugar (glucose) – when we do not take it into the body with food, we draw it from the reserves in the liver, and then from the accumulated fat. Only in the end does the body convert protein into muscle glucose. To activate all these processes, you should drink only water for a long time, but under constant medical supervision.

During complete abstinence from food, you should also agree with your doctor on the use of your medication (heart patients, diabetics).

4 Rules of fasting

Rule 1 – Do the analysis

Consultations with the doctor before medical fasting.

Before starting the medical fasting process, your doctor will suggest that you have a blood test or an ultrasound of your liver and bile ducts.

Rule 2 – Do not last long.

After the preparatory bowel cleansing (which lasts three days), as an introduction to fasting – drink the liquid for seven days, and then gradually “get out” of fasting for three days. Going out means fresh or boiled fruits and vegetables, food without bread and fat and finally a gradual return to a regular diet

Rule 3  – Adaptation

Although fasting can be considered an almost physiological act, we should be prepared to avoid possible complications. Don’t worry about the change in the color of your urine (you will remove a lot of toxins from your body during the cleansing), but the appearance of any pain is a sign that you should go to the doctor immediately.

Rule 4 – Starve in company

It is best to starve in the company of a close person or partner in order to support each other.

How to starve

Assess your physical and mental condition. If you opt for medical fasting, clean your intestines to flush toxins out of your body. In specialized clinics, this is usually done with enemas, and at home you eat food that does not stop in the intestines – fresh and boiled fruits and vegetables. Avoid sweets, meat, milk, eggs, bread, pasta, which can make a blockage in the intestines and stagnation of cooked food. In addition, you should not consume nuts or drink alcohol.

Stages of Fasting

1. Preparation (3 days)

At this stage, eat fresh or boiled fruits and vegetables, drink fresh squeezed juices, water and mild herbal teas.

2. Liquid (3 days)

Followed by 3 days on fruit and vegetable juices (tomato juice is especially recommended). You can drink water in unlimited quantities.

3. Lemon (1 day)

There are a lemonade and lemons on this table.

In the middle of the fasting phase, drink only lemonade and water. The feeling of hunger will disappear completely, but you may feel mild dizziness

4. Liquid (3 days)

At this stage, from the seventh day, we go backwards – 3 days follow on fruit juices and vegetables.

5. Going out (3 days)

Eat only fresh or boiled fruits and vegetables for 3 days, and then gradually return to a normal diet. Freed from harmful substances in the body, you will have the feeling of a new beginning.

Practice this cleansing of the body only 2 times a year (summer and winter).
